There are two types of registration available.

Agri Registered

If using a utility quad for agricutural purposes only, then you can choose to agriculturally register your vehicle. This involves registering your vehicle with the DVLA (British Law requires all vehicles are registered with the DVLA.) Applying for a tax disc (no fee to pay) and presenting your insurance certificate and certificate of conformity, if you choose Lear Automotive to register your ATV for agricultual use then we take care of all of this for you.

There are conditions surrounding the usage of an ATV once agricuturally registered for full details visit Department for Transport.

Full SVA Test

UK Law requires a vehicle to be licensed and registered for use on the road. You will not be able to tax, MOT or insure your quad without this test, all legal requirements for road usage. So get an SVA test if you intend to drive your off road quad on public roads.

The SVA test is designed to ensure that your vehicle meets all safety requirements as determined by EU legislation, and ultimately protect your personal safety.

When we SVA your quad we cover the following:

  • anti theft device
  • lighting suitable for road use
  • mirrors
  • road legal tyres
  • brakes
  • exhaust (sound level, emissions)
  • speedometer
  • power restriction
